Upon viewing Old Garden by ~mal-callm one might find it hard to believe that it was this deviant's first time using 3D Studio Max. The skill level displayed through the texture, lighting and modelling work suggests an avid user of 3D Studio Max, not a first time user. Check out this render and be impressed. Love this one! Just amazing use of ray tracing shadows :) Looks like there is a thick canopy of leaves above. Lots of creds!

Fantastic! Especially the textures - flawless. Nice to see you got good lighting results with your projector map - I've never had great luck with them. Prefer HDRI. Which version of max, just out of curiosity? And which renderer? Technical details on this would be very interesting. At any rate, excellent stuff, really. I especially like the miniature door. Visions of Alice in Wonderland, one of my all-time favorites. :)

Well done!

Yes, HDRI is great technique, but I can't make it work in 3DS. In C4D it's much easier :)
Thic pic was done in 3DS Max 6, with Brazil render and very subtle postprocess in Photoshop (contrast, levels etc).
